Olatunji Confident of Enyimba’s Continental Success, Wishes Osun United Well

Enyimba International Football midfield maestro, Dare Olatunji has described success of “The People’s Elephants” in the just concluded Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) as a proof of the strength and readiness of the team to do Nigeria proud at the CAF Champions League.

Olatunji stated this at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, when he paid a visit to Osun United’s training in preparation for the match against Abia Comets.

The energetic midfielder, whose high-class performance and mesmerizing display earned him a move to Enyimba lauded Osun United management, supporters and fans for their love for him while at the club, adding that he is in Enyimba for success.

“Enyimba are the leading biggest team in Nigeria and it’s a very big honour for me to join such a renowned, traditional club from Osun United. We are fully ready to bring back the continental trophy we won back to back in 2003 and 2004 back to Nigeria”, dropped Olatunji.

Speaking on his former club, Osun United, Olatunji said he wasn’t happy with the position of Omoluabi Giants on the log, but prayed ‘God of Soccer’ to bring fortune into the team in their last two group games.

“I gave glory to God and Osun people because it was their prayers that brought me this far. Am happy at Enyimba but not comfortable with the position of Osun United on the log of NNL. I hope they do well in their remaining games to be able to avoid relegation”, said the Nigeria under 23 midfielder.

On his hope for future, “Of course every player loves to play in the best league (EPL) in the world including myself but I hope to win more titles and continental championships with Enyimba as I pray to see myself wearing Manchester United’s jersey soon”, laughed Olatunji.

It would be recalled that Dare Olatunji, who joined Enyimba International FC from Osun United at the beginning of last season assisted the team to win the 2018/2019 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and qualify for the CAF Champions League.
