But, the troops showed valor and gallantry by defending their location and killing 27 terrorists, destroying six gun trucks and capturing several equipment, arms and ammunition.
A few terrorists, who escaped the fire fight, were observed running towards Gashigar in Nigerian territory and were pursued. The statement said the terrorists lost 13 members, 32 AK-47 rifles recovered, five anti-aircraft guns recovered, 1000 units of 7.62mm ammunition, 500 units of 12.7mm ammunition and one terrorist captured.
Others are five motorcycles, one destroyed, four gun trucks destroyed, three gun trucks captured, three general purpose machine guns captured, and three grenades captured. Antigha recalled that about 10 days ago, MNJTF troops neutralized terrorists at Dorou in Niger Republic.
