Akeredolu To Commission Osogbo Iconic Flyover Tomorrow

Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu, Ondo state governor.

The Osun State Government under the able leadership of Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola will tomorrow, Thursday, 17th of November 2022 officially commission the Iconic Flyover at Olaiya Intersection Osogbo by 12noon. This will be performed by the Chairman of Southern Governor’s Forum and the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu.

This is contained in a statement by the Commissioner for Works and Transport in the State, Engr. Remi Omowaiye.

The statement reads, “After a test drive of the newly constructed flyover in the last few months and consequent observation that our motives and objectives for the design of the flyover have been achieved which has permanently brought to zero frequent road accidents, occasionally leading to death of our citizens and vehicular traffic delays which no longer exist at the Olaiya corridor, it is our pleasure and desire of Oyetola’s administration to officially commission the flyover for the greater benefit of our people”

The statement also informs residents and citizens of the state of the closure of all the adjoining roads leading to Iconic at Olaiya Intersection from12 midnight on Wednesday till 4pm of Thursday, 17th of November when the commissioning would have been completed.

It advises motorists to make use of the alternative routes that would be provided, as he solicited for their patience, cooperation and understanding.
