Buhari Shuns Saraki, Other nPDP Members in APC Crisis…

President Muhammadu Buhari has turned down the possibility of meeting with the faction of the All Progressives Congress, APC, known as the New Peoples Peoples Democratic Party, nPDP.

The President was said to have reportedly vowed that he will not discuss with the aggrieved members of the nPDP that joined forces to form the ruling party.

Punch quoted a top government official to have disclosed this to journalists in Abuja on the condition of anonymity on Monday.

Senator representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, who is one of the aggrieved members of the party, had on Sunday, declared that they will soon leave the APC for good.

According to the report, Buhari had already told APC state governors his position during a meeting he had with them recently.

The President maintained that state governors and the national leaders of the party should be able to resolve such issues.

“Some hard-line governors asked the President to ignore the nPDP members while the majority felt the party and the VP should continue to talk to them,” the source added.
