The Eminent Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdur Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, Odundun IV on Friday, 17th September, 2021 received Ayoola Oyedokun District Governor, Rotary International District 9125, Nigeria in his palace.
Oba Abdur Rasheed in a statement by his Press Officer, Adekunle Adewumi, said it was a thing of joy to have the esteemed District Governor who incidentally is a Prince of Iragbiji in the palace describing him as an exceptional, diligent, vibrant and passionate man whose commitment and dedication to his office has brought about great notable impacts to every community in Nigeria and all over the world. Oba Olabomi describes Rotary International as a gift to humanity given the organization’s intervention globally in the area of Immunization against Polio and other health challenges thereby making our world a better place for us all.
HRM Aragbiji who applauded DG. Ayoola Oyedokun’s selfless service to the nation and the District since he assumed office in July 2021 said the positive impacts of the District Governor are felt all over Nigeria and beyond appreciated him for all the club has been doing for the community most especially the recent borehole project that was to be commissioned same day.
Oba Abdur Rasheed Olabomi prayed that Almighty God will continue to guide the District Governor’s team who he urged should see Iragbiji as their home stating that Iragbiji will warmly welcome other projects the club might be willing to bring to the community knowing it will be of great benefit to the citizens.
While appreciating the warm reception given to his team, the District Governor who described Oba Olabomi as someone with in-depth knowledge of what Rotary is, also thanked Kabiyesi for supporting the recently concluded Ryla with a Live Cow apart from being part of the opening ceremony with his Chiefs.
Before departing for other official assignments, the District Governor presented the Aragbiji with Customised Rotary dress(Agbada) which the Royal father wore and took photographs with the guests.
