The candidate, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has been advised to congratulate president Muhammadu Buhari who has been declared winner of the just concluded presidential election by INEC

A political scientist, Dr. Kenneth Irhue gave the advise while featuring on OSBC current affairs programme, ‘let’s discuss”.

Dr. Irhue noted that the former vice president has every right to go to court; however, congratulating the president elect is a sign of maturity which is one of the qualities of a good leader.

The political scientist who also spoke about the low turn-out of voters during the recently conducted election attributed it to the lackadaisical attitude of some electorate in performing their civic duty. He called on the people to change their attitude for better, come Saturday’s election, saying their votes must count.
