Bakare Emerges Leader As Olorunda Football Coaches Council Inaugurates New Excos

Olorunda Local Government Football Coaches Council on Monday, May 1 inaugurated the new executives where a veteran Coach, Kayode Bakare emerged the new Leader.

The inauguration which held at the Ogunjobi Football House, Osogbo Township Stadium, Osogbo had in attendance coaches from the nook and cranny of the local government.

Speaking shortly after taking the Oath of Office, the new Leader of the Council, Coach Kayode Bakare assured that he would work together with other members to ensure that the council achieves its aims of developing talents from the grassroots and nurture them to stardom.

“I am happy to be given the mandate to lead this council once again. I see it as a call to serve and I promise not to disappoint you. What we need is the support of all of us as this will facilitate achievements and successes which are our objectives. Let’s see ourselves as one and be committed to the council for our tenure to be a point of reference,”said coach Bakare

In his goodwill message, Osun Babes Coach Yekeen Ayodeji who coordinated the election urged all excos and other members to seek for more knowledge so that they can be masters in the game and be able to train talented athletes in the modern methods and techniques of coaching.

The Chairman, electoral committee, Coach Akinloye Ayodeji thanked all elected officers for their cooperation which ensured that the election was free, fair and credible and urged them to keep to their electoral promises.

The new executives who will paddle the canoe of the association for the next four years are Coaches Kayode Bakare (Leader), Akeem Akinlabi (Deputy Leader), Wasiu Abiona (General Secretary), David’s Sakiru (Assistant Secretary), Adeosun Najeem (Treasurer), Ajao Taiwo (Publicity Secretary), Lukman Yusuf (Auditor). 

Others are AbdulRahmon Wasiu (Financial Secretary), AbdulAzeez AbdulRasaq (Training Officer), Adedapo Yusuf (Asst. Training Officer), Sulyman Azeez (Chief Whip), Ibiyemi Lateef (Welfare), Adeleke Adediran (Ex-Officio).

A renowned sports journalist, Tajudeen Amodu was unanimously chosen as the Media Officer of the association.
