Some bandits were said to have invaded the Zango area of Samuru, Zaria in Kaduna State and abducted scores of residents in the early hours of Friday.
There was no official confirmation of the raid as of the time of filing this report
Hoever, Senator Shehu Sani who represented the Kaduna Central in the eighth National Assembly confirmed the attack in a tweet.
He posted, “Early this morning, bandits stormed Zango area of Samaru, Zaria and kidnapped scores of people.
“Ahmadu Bello University main campus, College of Aviation and Institute of Transport Technology located in the same area must take immediate preventive security steps to secure lives.”
