Bandits killed in Zamfara airstrikes

Several bandits have been killed in their Kwiambana forest hideout in Zamfara State.

They were killed in airstrikes conducted by the Air Component of Operation Hadarin Daji.

Also destroyed were the bandits’ logistics facilities.

The airstrikes followed credible intelligence on the location of the outlaws, Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Major-General John Enenche said in a statement on Wednesday.

The statement read in part, “The Air Component of Operation Hadarin DAJI has eliminated several armed bandits and destroyed their logistics facilities in massive airstrikes conducted in the Kwiambana Forest area of Zamfara State.

“This was achieved on 15 September 2020, as part of air interdiction missions being executed under subsidiary Operation Wutan Daji 2 to rid the Northwest of the country of armed bandits and other criminal elements.”
