Bayern Replace Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer With Sommer.

Bayern Munich have signed goalkeeper Yann Sommer from Borussia Monchengladbach following the serious injury to Manuel Neuer.

The 36-year-old fractured his lower right leg while skiing on December 9 and will not be available again for the rest of the season.

The Bundesliga leaders have moved to bring in Sommer, who was previously a Manchester United target.

The Switzerland number one has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Bayern.

The 34-year-old ends his nine-year spell at Gladbach where he made 335 appearances in all competition
