BREAKING: Osun schools to return to their old uniforms

The administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola is not in any way at loggerheads with the immediate regime of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

This came to the fore at a news conference jointly addressed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on education Mr Jamiu Olawumi,Commissioner for Education, Hon Folorunso Oladoyin, Commissioner for information Mrs Funke Egbemode and the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Mr Ismail Omipidan.

The quartet maintained that the administration of Mr Adegboyega Oyetola is continuation of Ogbeni Aregbesola’s administration, stressing that any administration could review its own policies according to people demand.

Mr Olawumi disclosed that the Executive Council had approved adjustments made the panel on review on extant policies in education in the State.

Among the adjustments are returning schools to their old uniforms. Returning same gender schools to their old statuses. Retention of old names of schools either as Grammar or High.

The Special adviser on education also made it known that the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola is committed to the welfare of teachers through prompt payment of their salaries as well as training and retraining of teachers.

He added that the Government had concluded plans to employ additional 2500 teachers while efforts are not diminishing at ensuring that teachers get to the pinnacle of their careers ,all aimed at uplifting education and securing the future of youths in Osun.
