Contractors picket ministry over N17bn debt

A group of contractors have picketed the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to protest alleged non-payment of N17b debt.

They said they resorted to the exercise after promises by the Minister Sabo Nanono and Permanent Secretary Dr Mu’azu Abdulkadir to settle them for completed jobs failed.

They alleged the Minister and Permanent Secretary failed to grant them audience, which informed their resort to picketing the ministry.
