He said, “ Birnin Kudu, Gujungu and Gumel will be on total lockdown for a period of one week starting from Thursday 30th April, 2020 by 12:00am, after two confirmed cases from those areas respectively”.

He said the other two persons under isolation by the state are recuperating tremendously while hoping that soon they would be discharged.

Governor Abubakar further disclosed that the state government has quarantined a total of 676 Almajiris who were deported from Kano and Gombe states.

He noted that the state government received over 500 Almajiris from Kano state last week and were isolated at the Yakubu Iowa NYSC orientation camp, to ascertain their health conditions.
