by Tajudeen Amodu

The management of Osun United has postponed the team’s resumption date indefinitely, following the extension of the lockdown by the state government of Osun over Covid-19 pandemic.

A statement by the Vice President of the Club, Mr. Layi Adesiyan on behalf of the President Chief Ademola Adesina said the resumption date shall be announced in line with the directives of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the State Government as soon as the spread of the pandemic is contained.

“With the extension of the period of lockdown by the state government of Osun, we shall proceed with the break until the notice of resumption of football activities is gotten from the NFF and the suspension of lockdown by the state government.”

“We therefore urge our players and coaching crew to strictly adhere to the federal and states’ guidelines and instructions on Covid-19,” concluded Mr. Adesiyan.
