CP Echeng resumes duty at Bayelsa Command

The new Commissioner of Police posted to the Bayelsa State Command, Eworo Echeng has reported for duties at the state command headquarters in Yenagoa.

This was contained in a statement on Monday issued by the spokesman for the command, SP Asinim Butswat.

The statement was titled, ‘A new Commissioner of Police has been posted to Bayelsa State’.

Echeng, a graduate of History from the University of Maiduguri, takes over from CP Mike Okoli, who has retired from the service.

Prior to his appointment as Commissioner of Police for Bayelsa State, CP Echeng had previously served as Police Component Commander, Joint Task Force, Operation Delta Safe.

He had also served as Compol Mopol, Force Headquarters Abuja, CP Central Criminal Registry, FCID, Abuja, DC Border Patrol Force Headquarters Abuja, DC FCID Zone 13, Ukpo-Dunukofia.

“He has attended several courses, notable among them are; Mission Training Cell, Keilce Poland, Officers Conversion course PMF, Gwoza, Unit Combat Course PMF, Gwoza and Tactical Command Course – Police Staff College Jos,” the statement said.

The command therefore solicited the cooperation and partnership of the people to enable CP Ewang discharge his duties of maintaining law and order in the state.

The statement further stated that members of the public could reach him on GSM number 08036448894.
