EFCC Arrests Lawmaker For N11 Fraud In Kaduna

The Kaduna Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a Councillor, Hon. Theophilus Madami for alleged fraudulent misappropriation of fund.

Madami representing Kakuri Hausa, ward in Kaduna south Local Government of Kaduna State is to be charged to court for offences bordering on alleged criminal breach of trust and misappropriation of funds to the tune of N11.8 million.

A statement signed by Head, Media and Publicity of the Commission, Wilson Uwujaren and made available to newsmen in Kaduna alleged that, the Councillor approached one, Ibrahim Ringim Haruna, chief executive officer of pyramid supplied services limited, a distributor of Pasta products, with claims that his council needed pasta products for distribution to its citizens.
