
Ahead of Saturday’s Governorship election in Ekiti State, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has distributed sensitive materials to various parts of the state.
OSBC News reporter, who is in Ado-Ekiti, capital of Ekiti State for the election reports that the materials were distributed to the 16 local government areas of the state in the presence of election observers, party Representatives, security personnel and the media.
The result sheets were authenticated by the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Dr .Adeniyi Tela before they were ferried to different local government areas.
One of the observers, who spoke with OSBC News, Gabriel Nwambu applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission for the transparent manner the distribution of the sensitive materials were done.
OSBC News movement round Ado-Ekiti revealed that campaign posters of the governorship candidates dotted every available spot in the state capital.
Security personnel have been deployed to the state to forestall possible break down of law and order.
The Governorship election in Ekiti state is due to hold on Saturday.
