The eminent Aragbiji of Iragbiji Oba Abdur-Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi Odundun IV has congratulated Osun First Lady, Alhaja Kafayat Oyetola over her unanimous election by Southern Governors’ Wives as their Chairperson during a meeting held in Abuja on Tuesday.

Aragbiji in a felicitating statement issued by his Press Secretary, Jimoh Olorede, described the unanimous election of the First Lady as demonstrative of dignity and respect for the State and the Governor, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola by the wives of other governors in the southern part of the country.

According to the monarch, Mrs. Oyetola’s representation of women folks and numerous contributions to the development of the state, especially in the last two years have unarguably attracted attention of stakeholders at the national level.

“The fact that Southern Governors’ Wives Forum unanimously elected Osun First Lady as the Chairperson, without vying for it, and without any dissent opinion or objection, has further dignified the Wife of the Governor, the Governor himself, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola, and by extension, the State of Osun, Aragbiji said.

The prominent traditional ruler who, in the statement further described the election as an ascension to national limelight, added that the feat and other unprecedented achievements by the present administration have positioned the state on a high pedestal as a fast growing state.

Consequently, Oba Olabomi urged residents and indigenes of the state to always support the present administration led by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola so as to ensure continuity of good governance and dividends.
