
An Ido Osun, Osun State based NLO 1 Side, Hammola Intl Football Club will participate in the 2023 Evolution Cup which holds next month.
Recall that ‘Lee Bombers’ took part in the maiden edition of the competition which held at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikebne Ogun State last year
In the four matches played, Hammola mauled defunct Olanshile FC 4-1, crushed Olukismet FC 1-0 and settled for a one all draw against SGF Athletics and another 3-3 draw with Ilaji FC.
Speaking on the preparation for this year’s invitational tourney, Chief Executive Officer of Hammola FC, Ambassador Muhydeen Odeyemi said his team would not only participate in the competition but perform better than the last edition.
‘This is another avenue for our team to be in good shape before the start of NLO and we’re happy to be part of the event.

“Participating in this competition last season helped us during the league even though we couldn’t win it but we believe that this is another chance to prove our worth as one of the best teams in Osun
“Since NLO 1 ended August last year,, we’ve participated in many tournaments and emerged champions. After winning the Osun FA Cup, we’re the winners of Unique Egalitarian Championship in Ede, We ales emerged champions of Pastor Abiona Cup in Ifon Osun and capped it all by winning the glamorous Hammola Football Championship in November.
“Earlier this week, Hammola FC, that formed the fulcrum of Egbedore LG FC emerged the best team after winning the Otunba Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke Memorial Football Cup organized by Hon. Bamidele Salam. This is a perfect way to start the new year and we’re confident of clinching the NNL ticket this year,” said Odhelee.
Hammola Intl FC will square up against Magic Stars FC, Beyond Limits, Star Builders FC, Coal City FC and 36Lion FC. Other participating teams are Rolly FC, Abraysports FC, SGFC Athletics and Crowned FC.
Evolution Cup is a preparatory tournament that will help the clubs get ready for the main NLO season. it is a good platform to improve and develop players and coaches for the next level.
The 10-Team Tourney is scheduled for 13th-19th, February 2023 at Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.
