Fulani Leaders: There are ‘bad eggs’ among us, we will expose them

Fulani leaders and Ardos in Muri Emirate, Taraba State have assured the Emir of their willingness to expose those behind the ongoing killings, other heinous crimes and their sponsors in the State.

Recall that the Emir of Muri, Alhaji Abbas Tafida had during the last Eid-el-Kabir celebrations issued a 30-day ultimatum to killer herdsmen and their collaborators to leave his Emirate or face his wrath.

The Fulanis have now given their assurance in a meeting of all their leaders from 14 of the 16 local government areas of the state.

Alhaji Sahabi Mahmoud, the state chairman, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), after the meeting with the Emir of Muri expressed satisfaction that the deliberation was successful and fruitful.

According to him, the meeting was attended by stakeholders besides the Fulani leaders and the Ardos in the state.

He explained, “We are not only on the same page with the emir, but we have pledged before him to support him and to expose those behind the heinous crimes soon.”

Alhaji Sahabi further explained they (the Fulanis) also agreed that there are some bad eggs among them, adding that to this end, all the Fulani leaders and Ardos were mandated to go back to their respective communities and fish out these criminal elements.

He assured that they would not spare any criminal among them even if they are their biological children, admitting they are also tired, and like the Emir said, they want peace in their various communities.

The Miyetti Allah leader also said that the meeting resolved to expose informants as well as sponsors of the criminals.
