Governor Adegboyega Oyetola on Thursday, attended the 2021 Chief Executive Officers’ Retreat of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers, where he was the Special Guest of Honour.
In his address, Governor Oyetola said the theme of the Retreat, ‘Leading: Heart before the Hand’ addresses the way leadership should go in all seasons, especially at these challenging times for the nation to take its place in the comity of nations.
He stated that “In good and bad times, driving an organisation is the business of leadership: managing a good situation to improve on it and make it sustainable, and a bad one to take it out of the woods and make it resilient.
“When the heart, the home of reasoning and love, is rightly engaged within existential realities, the right capacity and the right atmosphere are built and enthroned respectively to lead the organisation to achieve its objectives.
Leadership has a responsibility to adopt inclusivity by tapping the talents of members to build the organisation and creating a sense of belonging and responsibility.”
The Governor urged members of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers to imbibe the CEO mentality as the success of an organisation is a blend of the stellar efforts of all members.
