Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has approved the appointment of Dr. Tajudeen Adewale Odetayo as the Sixth substantive Rector of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.
This was contained in a release signed by Osun State Polytechnic, Iree Registrar, B.M Salawu
The release in parts “This is to inform the Polytechnic community that The Visitor to the Institution and the Executive Governor Of the State, His Excellency Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has approved the appointment of Dr. Tajudeen Adewale Odetayo as the Sixth Substantive Rector of the Institution. The appointment which takes effect from Friday 10th March, 2023 is for the period of Four Years
“The approval is contained in a letter dated 10th March, 2023 and signed by the Head of Service Mr. Ayanleye Aina”
It could be recalled that Governor Ademola Adeleke, in his inaugural speech had vowed to review all appointments that were recently made by the immediate past administration of former Governor Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola.
In his inaugural speech, Governor Adeleke gave an Executive Order mandating “an immediate establishment of a panel to review all appointments and major decisions of the immediate past administration taken after the 17th July, 2022.
This led to the reversal of Dr. Odetayo back to Acting Rector of the Institution.
