The group said the appointment was long-awaited and thanked the governor for the gesture.
In a statement on Sunday by a former member of Osun State House of Assembly, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, the group said the appointment was a reward for commitment and loyalty.
“The Ileri-Oluwa Movement congratulates our Director-General, Honourable Ajibola Israel Famurewa over his appointment as the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education.

“Famurewa’s appointment though long-anticipated is indeed a well deserved one and a depiction of a round peg in a round hole bearing in mind his expertise and wealth of experience in both political and professional endeavors,” he said.
Meanwhile, Oyintiloye has said Governor Oyetola would remain focused and committed to fulfilling more of his campaign promises.
The immediate past lawmaker representing Obokun State Constituency said Oyetola’s prudence in resource management is an asset that has helped him in stabilising the state.
