Hoodlums stab DELSU lecturer

Suspected hoodlums have stabbed Delta State University, Delsu, lecturer (Name withheld) and dispossessed him of his mobile phone, ATM card and other valuable items.

The  victim, who narrated his ordeals told The Nation the hoodlums attacked him at  about 8:00pm around his residential home in Ughelli, Ughelli North local government area of Delta state.

According to the victim: “l believe those who attackd me are those hungry boys who probably has been at home for the past two weeks and had no source of livelihood, so they are now in town attacking anybody they see.”

A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, described the incident as pathetic.

Though the incident has been reported to the Police ‘A’ division, Ughelli, the victim appealed to the Delta State Commissioner of Police to direct the Ughelli Area Command to protect the citizens, especially in this lockdown period.

The victim, who was stabbed all over his body, is receiving treatment in one of the private hospitals in Ughelli.
