The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, on Wednesday inagurated the Zone B Police Command headquarters in Anambra State.
Zone 13 will oversee police commands in Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi states with its headquarters in Ukpo, Anambra State.
Adamu, during the programme, said he was delighted to inaugurate the facility which would bring policing to the grass-roots level.
The IG, represented by a Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Celestine Okoye, hailed an oil magnate, Chief Arthur Eze, for facilitating the project.
He said, “Bringing the headquarters here was a thug of war. But thanks to Chief Arthur Eze who ensured that this dream was realised.”
