
Beneficiaries of Imole Free train Ride have Commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for showing a perfect example of what good governance entails through the continuation projects and policies of his predecessors aimed at making life more bearable for the people of the state.
They stated this at the Osogbo Terminal of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Freedom Park, after landing safely in the state through the Imole Free train Ride from the iddo Terminus, Lagos.
Speaking with OSBC Reporter, Oluchi Amuda, some beneficiaries such as Mr Samuel Ajetumobi and Mr Oluniyi Isamotu noted that the gesture has helped in providing reliefs for families living outside Osun state to be able to celebrate the Easter Festivities with their loved ones as well as lessening their financial burdens.
“We thank Governor Ademola Adeleke for ensuring the continuation of the free train ride as well as completion of other projects embarked upon by his predecessors. This gesture is the hall mark of good governance as it goes a long way in lessening burden some of us go through to come home and celebrate festive periods with our loved ones. We pray God to bless him with more divine success in his efforts at making Osun State great.”
Welcoming the beneficiaries, Coordinating Director, Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Cooperative and Empowerment, Mrs Kehinde Odediran who led other officials of the Ministry said “Governor Adeleke has been walking the talk and keeping to his Electoral Promises of making the welfare of the people utmost priority. She maintained that the Imole Free train Service has come to stay to reduce transportation hardship during festive periods.”
“This gesture of the governors, apart from enabling Osun indigenes in Lagos and other South West States to celebrate Easter Festivals with their Families in the state will also help in boosting the economic activities.”
She reassured that the Ministry will continue to partner Nigeria Railway cooperation in ensuring seamless implementation of the programme aimed at providing relief to citizens.
The train is expected to embark on a return trip from Osogbo to Lagos o Monday.
