Joy As Governor Adeleke Approves Payment Of Another Half-Salary Owed By Former Administration

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has approved the payment of another batch of half salary arrears for the state and local government civil servants.

This is contained in a letter by the Director PSO, Mr K. Akintola on behalf of the Head of Service, Mr Samuel Aina.

The letter which was made available to newsmen through the Governor’s Spokesperson Mallam Olawale Rasheed on Wednesday in Osogbo stated that the Governor approved payment of February 2016 half salary arrears for the state’s civil servants.

It would be recalled that earlier this month, the state government paid the January 2016 half salary arrears to the state workforce while approving modalities for the payment of all the 30-months half salary arrears inherited from the previous APC government in the state.

According to the letter, “this latest payment is in continuation of the modalities earlier approved by Governor Adeleke.

“This payment directive is to be treated with utmost urgency as stated by the state’s Head of Service”

Meanwhile, findings by OSBC revealed that payment has already begun as the state civil servants are already receiving credit alerts payment to that effect.
