Jubilation In Osun As Workers Receive Part Payment Of Salary Arrears

In fulfillment of the Promise made by Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke civil servants in Osun state have started receiving part of the 30 month salary arrears owed by the previous administration.

Recall that the promise was made by Governor Adeleke through Head of Service, Mr. Aina Ayanleye.

It was gathered by our reporter who went round the state secretariat and some agencies that workers were visibly happy and expressed their profound gratitude to Governor Adeleke who deemed it fit to fulfil the promise under 3 months in office despite the humongous debt inherited and the state of the economy.

Chairman of the Trade Union Congress in Osun State, Comrade Adekola Adebowale described Governor Adeleke as a man of his words whose commitment to workers welfare is no more in doubt.

Comrade Adebowale said “Osun State workers will never forget the good gesture of the Governor. Many of our members have gone under with many others incapacitated due to lack of adequate welfare on the part of past administration, especially on the modulated salary arrears.”

Other who spoke with our reporter declared that most of the civil servants had lost hope on it, saying the payment came at a great surprise. They prayed for the success of the present administration
