The all progressives congress says it joins all well-meaning Nigerians to celebrate the country’s new democracy day, June 12.

The ruling party in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Lanre Issa-Onilu, said the day is significant and momentous.

The statement said the president Muhammadu Buhari-Led APC government has once again demonstrated its avowed commitment to correct past injustices and celebrate heroes and heroines that paid the supreme sacrifice for the democratic freedom that Nigerians all cherish and enjoy today. The APC said democracy remained the most representative system of government world over, adding that the present administration is committed to equitable administration of our commonwealth for the benefit of all Nigerians.
