Kaduna LG Polls: Political parties, stakeholders sign peace pact

Kajuru stakeholders, comprising chairmen of political parties, traditional rulers and some representatives of law enforcement agencies have agreed to conduct, and vote peacefully, devoid of any political rancour in the forth coming Saturday elections in the 23 local government areas of Kaduna State.

Recall that Kajuru LGA has been a hot bed for crisis and bandits’ attack over the years.

The meeting, which was organised by the Kufana District Traditional Council, was endorsed by all parties involved in Kajuru Local Government Area.

A joint communique signed by Benjamin Yunana Maigari (District Head Office representative), Hon Francis Kwasau (PDP representative) and Hon Nuradeen Alkali Tijjani (APC representative), which was held at late Maiwada Galadima Memorial Hall Maraban Kajuru said “all citizens of Kajuru local government area agreed to conduct, vote and accept the outcome of the election peacefully.”

According to the communique, “All citizens, voters agreed to promote peaceful coexistence before, during and after the conduct of the election.

“Both Hon. Cafra Caino, APC candidate and Ibrahim Gajere, PDP candidate accepted to promote peace before, during and after the conduct of the local government election.

“Both Hon Cafra Caino of the APC and Hon Ibrahim Gajere of the PDP agreed to accept the outcome of the election.”

It further said all political parties in the forth coming local government election in Kajuru agreed to accept the outcome of the election.
