Kaduna PDP dismisses reports of deputy chairman’s suspension

The Kaduna State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has debunked claims that the state Deputy Chairman, Hon Ibrahim Lawal Kayarda, was suspended.

Publicity Secretary, Abraham Alberah Catoh, said this in a statement on Wednesday.

Recall that there were media reports that Kayarda was suspended over anti-party activities.

Catoh described the reports as a calculated attempt to blackmail Kayarda.

He said Kayarda is still a bonafide member of the party, as they are yet to receive any correspondence from his ward or the local government party secretariat.

According to him, “the false impression given is a cheap media propaganda by some renegades of the party, sponsored by the APC to cause disaffection amongst party faithful.”

He urged members to disregard the propaganda and focus on winning the election in the Lere Federal Constituency by-election.

“Any information on this matter that does not come from the Publicity Secretary of the PDP’s office is completely false,” the statement said.
