Katsina Gov’s Nephew, Two Others Die In Auto Crash

No fewer than three people, including Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari’s nephew have been confirmed dead and several others injured in an accident involving the convoy of Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State on Friday night.

The convoy had an accident along the Jikamshi Bridge in the Musawa Local Government Area of the State where two police officers attached to the convoy – Kabir Adamu and Nura Sufiyanu – lost their lives.

In a telephone call on Saturday, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Gambo Isah, confirmed the incident to Channels Television. He, however, did not disclose the identity of the affected civilian.

He said the incident happened while the governor was on his way to Masari, his hometown in Kafur Local Government Area of the state, adding that their corpses have already been taken to a General Hospital mortuary.

Governor Masari was heading to his hometown for the governorship and state assembly elections taking place today (Saturday).
