Kidnapped Abia Journalist regains freedom

Mr. Chuks Onuoha, a journalist kidnapped earlier this week has regained freedom.

Onuoha was released early today (Saturday) after spending four days in the kidnappers’ den.

The former Correspondent of The SUN Newspapers was abuducted Tuesday night, around 9p.m.  from his Umungasi, Ohuhu Umuahia where he lives.

His abduction came exactly 10 days after the former Provost of the Abia State Teaching Hospital Aba, ABSUTH, Professor Uwadinachi Iweha, was kidnapped in front of his house at Umuokpara, Umuahia.

It is not yet clear if any ransom was paid but his abductors were demanding N10 million as condition for his release.
