Lagos postpones secondary schools’ BECE

The Lagos State Government has postponed the 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examination till further notice.

BECE was scheduled to commence from June 16 to 23, 2020.

However, the shutdown of schools nationwide has affected the plan.

The Director, Lagos State Examinations Board, Supo Gbadegesin, in a statement on Monday, said the new dates approved by the authorities would be communicated to all stakeholders.

“The board regrets any inconveniences this postponement may have caused. However, registration is still ongoing via various electronic means such as online, WhatsApp and phone calls,” he said.
