LG Poll: APC’ll Present Masses’ Choice Candidates – Irepodun, Olorunda Screening Committee Chair

Osun State House of Assembly Speaker, honourable Timothy Owoeye has said the All progressives Congress (APC) set unbeatable templates in the area of prioritizing a participatory government so much that it can never be beaten anytime soon.

Honourable Timothy Owoeye who doubles as the chairman Local government Screening committee for Osogbo, Olorunda, Irepodun and Orolu federal constituency made the declaration while addressing contestants drawn from the four (4) local government areas under the platform of APC for October 15 local government election in the state.

Honourable Owoeye noted that the central objectives was to conduct a thorough, fair, credible and acceptable screening exercise with a view to presenting masses choice candidates for October 15 local government election in the state.

The speaker said “the APC has built a society that has unprecedentedly transformed the state in all sides through its participatory government. We therefore assure that the APC in the state remain a party to beat.”

Owoeye commended the tenacity and steadfastness of members of the party therefore advocating for the oneness and progress of the nation’s ruling party reminding them that the issue at hand is surmountable.

Thereafter, the exercise started with the verification of the required credentials and other related documents.

He commended all aspirants for their peaceful conduct and sought their cooperation till the exercise lasts.

Recall that in a bid to ensure a seamless and rancor free primary exercise, APC chairman in the state, Prince Gboyega Famodun had put in place, local government Screening committee chairmen and its members across the nine(9) federal constituencies with the mandate of conducting screening exercise.
