Manuel Locatelli's preferred move revealed - Daily Post Nigeria

Manuel Locatelli is intent on joining Juventus this summer despite Arsenal’s interest, according to reports in Italy.

The Gunners have already submitted an offer for the midfielder who has impressed for Italy at Euro 2020 with two goals in three appearances.

Borussia Dortmund have also expressed their interest in signing the 23-year-old this summer.

But according to Alfredo Pedulla, Locatelli is holding out for Juventus’ offer and is keen to wait for the Turin club to reach an agreement with Sassuolo.

The report claims that a €40 million offer will be enough to convince Sassuolo, while Juventus are keen to structure the deal in instalments with the final payment in 2023.

Locatelli’s desire to join Juventus is also due to the club being able to offer Champions League football.

Earlier this week, Sassuolo chief executive, Giovanni Carnevali, revealed Arsenal’s move for the Italy international.

“Arsenal have made an official bid for Locatelli,” Carnevali said.

“They’re pushing hard to sign Manuel and it’s an important bid. We will see. Also, Juventus want Locatelli and we have a special relationship with them. We have a new meeting scheduled with Juve.

“We are trying to leave the lad calm, so I haven’t spoken to him or his agents yet. We can think about Locatelli’s future, but above all, we care about his present and that means Italy doing well at the Euros.”
