
The National Emergency Management Agency started preparations to resettle of returnees to Jakana community in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno.
Information Officer of NEMA Northeastern Zone, Mr Abdulkadir Ibrahim, stated that the agency in partnership with the military have started preparations to return the affected persons to their homes following the completion of the military operation in the area.
Ibbrahim said, the agency has made adequate arrangements to distribute food and non-food items to the affected persons, inorder to reduce sufferings caused by the displacement.

NEMA provided IDPs with food items and other materials for distribution in Jankana community, to reduce the upshot of disruption of economic activities as a result of the evacuation.
The army had earlier on April 9, moved residents of Jakana to Bakassi IDPs camp in Maiduguri for safety because of the current operation against insurgents in the area.
