Nigerian envoy to Jordan buried in Kano

The remains of the immediate past Nigeria Ambassador to Jordan, Alhaji Haruna Ungogo, were buried at Naibawa Gabas cemetery located within Kano metropolis at exactly 9:59 am on Monday.

The late diplomat died after a brief illness at a government hospital, in Abuja, on Sunday.

He was appointed ambassador to the Kingdom of Jordan and the Republic of Iran, by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), in 2016 and served out his tenure at the time of his death.

Ungogo also served as Secretary to the Kano State government, as well as a one-time Finance Commissioner, and ex- Rector, Kano State Polytechnic.
