
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported that the country recorded no new COVID-19 related death within the last 24 hours. The centre made this known through its official twitter handle. Although, within the same time interval a total of 187 new cases were recorded in 12 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
From the published statistics, the top contributors are:
Lagos state with 74 cases, Rivers and Plateau states both with 25 cases, Gombe and FCT with 19 cases, and Osun with 10 new cases of the COVID-19 virus.
Others are: Kaduna – 5, Borno – 3, Ogun – 2, Katsina – 2, and Nasarawa, Edo, Bayelsa with 1 case each.
This brings the total confirmed cases of the virus in Nigeria to 58,647, with 49,937 recoveries made so far and the number of deaths remain at 1,111.
