Okeji, Two Others join Osun United on Loan

Okeji, two others join Osun United on loan .

Osun United have completed the loan signing of three players during the mid-season transfer window to strengthen the squad as the last gasp of Nigeria National League (NNL) takes off today across some centres in the country.

Former striker of the team, Victor Okeji has returned after gaining his full fitness back following a spell at the Oluyole Warriors to further add to the attacking bite of the Omoluabi Giants.

The team also acquired the services of veteran midfielder, Emmanuel Peters and Vincent Temitope who are conversant with the terrains of the Nigerian League.

There was a boost to the squad with the return to fitness of Alaji Rasaq and Chinedu Emmanuel who are in pole position to feature against the jittery Oluyole Warriors, who were too shy to honour the return leg of the pre-season friendly match against Osun United, after being caged at their backyard in Ibadan early this year.

This development, according to Coach Samson Unuanel is sacrosanct to turn the group B1 Table around positively for the Giants, who are currently occupying the bottom spot on the log.

“With the return of some of our players to full fitness and the effective mid-season transfer, Shooting Stars and other teams in our group are ‘in for it’ in this second round”, said Unuanel.

This weekend’s trip to Ibadan to face 3sc will be followed by a home game against Giant Brillars of Enugu on Saturday, 26th May, 2019.

Osun United’s last two games will be on the road to Umuahia against Abia Comets before they entertain Bayelsa United at the Osogbo Township Stadium in the last season’s fixture.
