Ondo nurses protest increase in COVID-19 cases

Nurses in Ondo State staged a peaceful protest at the state Mother&Child Hospital Akure, the state capital on Tuesday.

The nurses under State Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives said the protest followed the increasing spread of the deadly coronavirus disease in the state.

The chairman of the State Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives, Mr Kehinde Nomiye, said the protest was informed by the failure of the state government and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control to carry out contact tracing of the infected doctors and nurses at the mother and child hospital.
