Oshoala Celebrates Pichichi Award With A Brace

Super Falcons and Barcelona striker, Asisat Oshoala, scored a brace in Barcelona’s UEFA Women’s Champions League 6-0 win against Rosengard, a day after receiving her Pichichi Award for finishing as top scorer in the 2021/22 Spain Primera Division Women League season.

Her goals helped Barcelona set the record for the most scored by a team in the competition’s group stage.

Mapi Leon scored Barca’s third just before the break to give them a three-goal lead.

Three second-half goals from Fridolina Rolfo, Marta Torrejon, and Irene Paredes sealed a comfortable 6-0 win for the Spanish Queens.

The 28-year-old Nigeria forward was substituted in the 81st minute and replaced with Victoria Lopez. The win ensured Barcelona sit top in Group D with 15 points from six games and qualified for the quarter-finals
