Osogbo, capital of Osun State has worn a new look ahead of inauguration of the Governor Elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke which takes place tomorrow.
A visit to the Osogbo Township Stadium, venue of the inauguration by OSBC news revealed that every arrangement has been concluded for a smooth, peaceful inauguration.
From the entrance of the stadium, to the gate and the mainbowl, security agencies were seen manning strategic positions to prevent disruption of the well-planned programme.
Various posters and banners of the Governor Elect, Sen. Ademola Adeleke and the Deputy Governor-Elect, Prince Kola Adewusi were displayed at the median of the Obafemi Awolowo road, Omo West Area to the Stadium roundabout.
Two people who spoke with OSBC news at the venue of inauguration on Saturday, Ambassador Muideen Odeyemi popularly known as Hammola and Mr. AbdulLateef Lukman also know as ‘Ose Ose’ said they can’t wait for tomorrow to come.
“We are here today to see and feel the atmosphere of the stadium. The day is here and we can’t wait to usher in the people’s Governor, Sen. Ademola Adeleke. From today, it’s going to bubble till tomorrow. My brother, ”a o jo dende ijo,,’ chorused Ambassador Odeyemi and. Mr. Lateef.
Meanwhile, the security arrangement of the venue was perfect with fully armed police officers guarding the venue.
t would be recalled that the state Commissioner of Police Olaleye Faleye, had warned all political miscreants who may be planning any evil to vacate the state or face the full weight of the law
Mr Faleye who gave the warning during his visit to Osogbo Township Stadium earlier this week said “We just want to warn them (political thugs) not dare us because anyone who wants to foment trouble will have him or herself to blame.
“We are equal to the task, we have discussed how the programme would be hitch-free in the joint security meeting. We have mapped out our plans and we just want to sound a note of warning that nobody should dare us.”
The CP encouraged citizens who are coming to watch the beauty of the inauguration to be law abiding.
