Osun 2022: Islamic Group, UNN Alumni Drum Support For Accord Party Candidate


An Islamic organization popularly known as Hasibunallahu has endorsed the candidature of Accord party’s candidate in the Saturday gubernatorial election, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi and his deputy, Alhaji Kunle Jimoh.

Hasibunallahu in a statement signed by Alhaji Rauf Olawale, the Chairman and Amir of the group noted that its members have resolved to vote for the duo.

“Members of Hasibunallahu prayer group at home and in Diaspora have resolved to back the gubernatorial ambition of Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi and his Deputy Governorship candidate, Imam Mikhail Kunle Jimoh. We pledge our unflinching support towards their aspiration and have resolved to vote for them overwhelmingly on 16th July, 2022”.

In a related development, the President of the Osun State Chapter of UNN Alumni association, Mr. Ogunbamiwo Henry further stated that the decision to support Accord party was taken at its meeting of Monday, July 4, 2022 after a critical analysis of the ongoing electioneering campaigns in the state.

He stated that the party’s deputy governorship candidate, Alhaji Kunle Jimoh was a staunch member of the association in Osun and a member of the National Publicity committee

“Alhaji Kunle Jimoh is an asset, humble, honest, trustworthy fellow that is ready to lift Osun up from the decadence our past leaders have plunged the state into. All members of the UNNA family in the state will ensure adequate mobilization of the members of the state to ensure that they vote for him”.
