Iwude-Ijesha 2022: Osun Govt Promises Further Development Of Culture and Tourism

Osun State Government has assured that it will leave no stone unturned in adding value to the state through promotion of Culture and Tourism.
The Supervising Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Engr. Olalekan Badmus gave the assurance in Osogbo, during the meeting held with the Iwude Ijesha Planning Committee to notify the State Government about the annual event.
Badmus said “the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola is always passionate about the development of Tourism and Culture sector as these are parts of the natural endowment the state is blessed with
On behalf of Mr. Governor, we assure that the State Government will do everything within his power to ensure the success of the forthcoming Iwude-Ijesa festival.’
While commending the committee and the entire Ijesa people for their cooperation, commitment and support to the present administration, the Supervising Commissioner added that Governor Oyetola will not relent in giving all festivals in Osun equal treatment.
Speaking earlier, the Vice-president, Iwude-Ijesa Planning Committee, Chief Afolabi Igbaroola appreciated the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and the management team of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Osun Tourism Board and the State Council for Arts and Culture for their unflinching support for the yearly Iwude-Ijesa festival, adding that the Governor has been the pillar behind the successes recorded in previous programmes since his assumption of office.
The festival whose series of activities began last month will climax December 24, 2022 in Ilesha.
