Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of the State of Osun has urged muslims to lend hands to the less privileged so that everybody can be in celebration mood.
The Governor gave the advice after observing two rakaats in his country home in Iragbiji. Mr Oyetola enjoined muslims to adhere to the lessons of Eidul Kabeer which teaches piety,patience and endurance.
He counselled all in the State to celebrate in connection with the safety protocols and regulations because of Covid-19.
Wife of the Governor, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola who also joined husband to pray encouraged women to be helpful to their husbands so as to keep their home intact.
The two rakaat prayers were led by Imaam Oluwatoyin Yusuf who reminded people that the essence of sacrifice lies in the piety with which one slaughters as Allaah doesn’t need either the meat or blood of the animals sacrificed.
