OSUN RURAL DWELLERS APLAUD GOV. OYETOLA, RAMP ON ROAD CONSTRUCTION.

The people living in Rural Communities in the State of Osun have commended the efforts of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola over the delivery of dividends of Democracy in their localities in terms of massive rural road constructions across the State.

Olu Owode in Ifon Osun, Orolu Local Government, Oba Abdul rafiu Adebayo stated this on behalf of others while fielding questions from newsmen in Osogbo at the Grand Finale of a two-day workshop organized by the State Government of Osun in Collaboration with Osun Rural Access Mobility Project, O”RAMP to sensitize people on how to maintain all roads constructed across the rural areas in the State.

The Monarch who could not hide his joy, appreciated the State Government and RAMP, stressing that about Twenty-five kilometers of roads have been Constructed in his domain. He further emphasized that there were roads that have gone bad and no longer motorable since about twenty years ago, but has now been rehabilitated, adding that the road has assisted farmers in transporting their farm produce to market easily.

Oba Abdul rafiu also gave kudos to Governor Oyetola led administration on the upgrading of Primary Healthcare Centres which are now functioning well and fully equipped with drugs and medical personnels.

He therefore enjoined the State Government and RAMP to further assist the Communities in rehabilitating other roads in the State.

While speaking, the State of Osun Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Dr. Olalekan Yinusa maintained that upon the introduction of RAMP in the State, Government does not hesitate in keying into it, noting that it had since been helping to develop rural communities in Osun.

He further disclosed that Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has not relented in fulfilling his campaign promises, stating that in health sector, out of three hundred and sixty primary Health Centres which the Government has started working on across the State, two hundred and fifty have been completed with all health facilities intact.

In his own words, the Chairman, Ife Central Local Government, Ajebandele, Ile Ife Hon. Elugbaju Olayere expressed his displeasure that no single road or bridge has been constructed in his community, adding that life has been so difficult for farmers to transport their farm produce from farm to the market.

The Chairman however urged RAMP to remember the area during the second face of the project.
