Osun United retain 8 Players, Proceed on 5-Week Break

The management of Osun United has retained 8 players among those who prosecuted the 2018/2019 Nigeria National League (NNL) for the team.

This came to the fore after several hours of deliberations by the management and the technical crew of the club where they took a cursory look at the performance of each of the players during the season.

The management therefore appreciated all players for their patience, sacrifice and endurance throughout the season and wished the released players best of luck in their subsequent endeavours.

“honestly, the past management did their best to recruit committed players for the team, with respect to the meagre resources available. That’s why we have to appreciate them and the players for their loyalty and dedication. We thank the players and wish them well in their careers”, said the management.

The players retained include Lateef Nurudeen, Emmanuel Peters, Alaji Rasak and Victor Okeji. Others are Daniel Edeh, Chinedu Emmanuel, Abimbola Mojeed as well as Francis Odudu.

The management similarly announced a five-week break for players and the technical crew beginning from Monday, 8th July, 2019.
