
Deputy Governor, Osun State, Mr Benedict Alabi has described the Health Sector as a very sensitive one that requires collaborative efforts and complementary roles of medical professionals and the government.
The Deputy Governor who gave this submission at the official opening and dedication of the ultra modern health facility in Osogbo noted that the quest for quality health care delivery is one of the cardinal aspirations of the present administration to the citizens.
“the present government prioritizes quality and affordable health care delivery by the establishment of Osun Health Insurance Scheme (OHIS) and rehabilitation of primary health centres across all the 332 wards in the state.
“Therefore, in line with the commitment of Gov Adegboyega Oyetola’s administration to incentive-driven workforce, the state government has implemented appropriate salary scale for all health workers in fulfilment of its campaign promise and the age-long agitation for better welfare.”
The Deputy Governor commended the resilience and consistency of Dr Afolabi Babatunde, for his past efforts in helping the people of Osun to get quality health care and ultimately for putting up the edifice.
Present at the occasion were the special adviser to the governor on health,Pharm Siji Olamiju and the State APC chairman, Prince Gboyega Famodun among other dignitaries.
