Chief Press Secretary to Governor Oyetola, Ismail Omipidan has advised an Osogbo based Socio-Political group, Osogbo Action Committee not to incite the people against Governor Adegboyega Oyetola by spreading falsehood that holds no water.
Omipidan in a statement said the letter to the Governor by a member of the group Chief Ajadi Badmus asking the governor to stay action on a non-existent process has a political undertone.
The CPS said the governor had never thought or said he intended to dethrone the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji adding that the claim was false and mischievous to deliberately pitch Osogbo people against the governor and his government.
Omipidan noted that “The author of the letter has unfettered access to Mr. Governor and ought to have made independent findings about the truth of the matter from the governor before making his spurious claims, which are far from the truth.”
The statement also said “the Ataoja is directly under the supervision of the Osogbo Local Government and as such, the governor has no business per se with his office and besides the governor has no issues with Ataoja”
The statement appeals to leaders of thought and clerics in Osogbo to endeavor to find out the truth, know the truth and act based on the truth.
